3.7 | La Casa de Abuela + Intermediate Surf Course

Criteria: Is able to stand up on the whitewater with some consistency and confidence, and glide straight toward the shore.

Objectives: To improve the take off technique and functional stance, start choosing whitewater waves independently, control the board's direction (turning slightly), and learn the basic priority rules (surf code).

• Criteria: Catches small to medium unbroken (green) waves, can perform the take off quickly, and is able to ride the face of the wave to the right or left (not just straight).

• Objectives: To learn how to select the right wave (timing), know how to get past breaking waves (duck dive or turtling), generate speed on the face of the wave (pumping), and have a good understanding of the surf code (etiquette).
